KENYA : Eagle Wings Lose Key Players Ahead of League

FORMER national champions Eagle Wings have lost three key players ahead of the Premier League starting this weekend.
Coach Evelyne Kedogo confirmed some of her top players have moved to rivals Kenya Ports Authority but promised to soldier on with those still loyal to the self-sponsored club.
The depleted Wings open their 2015 campaign against Kenya University 'Oryx' tomorrow. "My team has lost some key players but we will move on. I am looking for new players to beef up the squad and I am sure I will succeed," said Kedogo. She said she is also ready to swing back to action need be.
The three players who have some fat bolted are national team forward Evelyne Norah, guard Annerose Atieno and Linda Nyikuli. KPA coach Anthony Ojukwu was in Nairobi for a recruitment drive that saw him raid the Africa bronze medallists backyard to acquire the services of the trio.
He said the signing of the players is key to his drive to reclaim the crown. But Kenya Basketball Federation competition secretary Joseph Amoko warned all the teams that have signed new players to be ready to clear their transfer fees or risk being blocked from playing.
