UGANDA : Falcons face Canons in NBL

Falcons face Canons in NBL

Ndejje Angels Vs KIU Titans 6:30pm
Falcons Vs UCU Canons 8:30pm

Falcons probably have the best individual players in the league but they are far from a team. That has been evident all through this season as they have lost nearly all games that call for team play.
UCU Canons meanwhile have been the best team thus far. UCU will try to take another step toward clinching a post season berth as the top seed when they play Falcons on Friday night at YMCA.
All the six games Falcons have dropped have been to opponents above them on the log apart from Ndejje Angels which they edged 63-60 in the first round. Falcons (7-6) were barely competitive the last time out (against Power) as Steven Tumwesigye (21 points) and Abdulahi Ramadhan (12 points) showed up but such attitude in another big game is improbable and given the quality of players on the team you can’t write them off.
Falcons and Canons presented the most offensive and probably the best game of the season. Canons beat Falcons 101-91 behind Sudi Ulanga’s 26 points. Steven Omony and Abdulahi Ramadhan scored 27 and 22 points respectively for Falcons.
Falcons have conceded 79 points on average in the six losses. Canons (13-2) have won all their four games in the second round including a big one against City Oilers to open the second round while Falcons are 1-1 in the second round.

In the first game of the evening, it will be a battle of the university sides when Ndejje University Angels face KIU Titans. The first match up between the sides was settled in overtime as Angels (8-5) outscored Titans (9-4) 15-11 for a thrilling 82-78 win.
Swingman, Brian Odur and power forward, Geoffrey Soro who combined to put away Warriors nine days ago scored 18 and 15 points respectively to lead Ndejje past their university rivals last month.
KIU are 2-1 in the second round averaging 66.3 points and letting in 48.7 points while Ndejje are averaging 82 points while conceding 65 points in the second round.
