NIGERIA : D'Tigers Is Battle Ready Against Tunisia'

  • D'Tigers head coach, Ayo Bakare said nothing will be taken for granted when Nigeria basketball team file out against their Tunisian counterpart in their opening match of the London 2012 Olympic basketball event two days after the opening ceremony.
Bakare in an interview with LEADERSHIP SPORTS before his departure at the Murtala International airport said it would be a great error for the Tunisian coach to compare the D'Tigers they played at the FIBA Africa championship in Madagascar with the present team that qualified Nigeria for the Olympics.
"Nothing will be taken for granted. By the time we meet our African sister, Tunisia in the opening match of the basketball Olympic event in London on the 29th of this month, two days after the opening ceremony. One thing I must let you know is that; it was only two among the players that went to the FIBA Africa tournament in Madagascar are in this present team.
This is an entire different team, this is a team that qualified us to the Olympic from Caracas, Venezuela but I must assure you that is going to be a different ball game," he said.
