KENYA : KCA Tops NBA league

Kenya College of Accountancy University is on top of the table in the women’s category in the N.B.A League after the last weekend’s matches.

KCA has ammased 17 points having lost only one of their 9 matches and with their current form, it does not seem that they will be handing over the top spot anytime soon since the closest team to the Thika road based side is another student side, Kenyatta University’s Oryx with 14 points having won all their 7 matches.

Multimedia and Madaraka based Strathmore Swords occupy position 3 and 4 respectively with MMU also having 14 points while Strathmore has 13 points. Mt. Kenya University and Footprints occupy the bottom of the table with the students having 9 points from 8 matches played while Footprints have 7 points winning only one of their 6 matches.

In the men’s category (Zone B) Equity still continue to dominate the standings maintaining their 10 match unbeaten run with 20 points. Legacy follows closely with 18 points having lost 4 of their 11 matches. Strathmore University and Old Pirates hold position 3 and 4 respectively both with 17 points. Friends of Basketball Kenya close the Zone B table with 8 points have won only one of their 6 matches.

In the men’s Zone ‘A’ standings Little Prince are at the helm with 19 points followed by Barclays Bank’s Eagles with 17 points. Position 3 and 4 go to Don Bosco (17 points) and students Kenyatta University (16 points). Kenyatta University is the only team in the category to be unbeaten. King Deaf and Zetech College are at the bottom of Zone ‘A’ with the latter having 10 points while the college side has 9 points.

Of all the teams that participate in the league which is played at the Railways Club, JUAT Karen Campus (men’s category) is the only team yet to win a single match, having lost all its 9 outings.
