UGANDA : Old Boys Back to Taunt Warriors

Despite what many sports pundits say, the Fuba league has for the last three seasons been a duopoly of two teams; Kyambogo Warriors and Dmark Power.
And let's face it the other two; UCU Canons and Miracle Eagles have been bridesmaids. Tonight that duopoly will be tested when Warriors take on Blue Cube Falcons at YMCA grounds. Falcons, the most successful team in Ugandan basketball, was a disaster last season - even failing to make the playoffs - but they returned to the drawing board and so far, it has been almost all smiles.
First, they hired new coaches in old boy Tony Oluka and Gad Eteu, who led them to their 2007 crown, as his assistant. They also convinced prodigal son Stephen Omony to return along with other former players like Francis Tumusiime, who will mahe his debut tonight [he has not featured since the season began because his paper work had n't been cleared], Brian Ssentongo is also set to make his debut tonight, Douglas Uwizera and Edward Kateregga are all former Falcons players who had crossed ship before realizing that home is best and they have vowed that this is the year they return Falcons to the Falcons that people knew.
Despite having a formidable arsenal Oluka knows that Warriors is not that easy to stop. They have strength in all corners the trio of Norman Blick, Ronnie Kasewu and Ivan Enabu can tear down any defense and then there is the towering Sam Gombya who ever since he found his footing has been a menace to teams in the paint, clearing the boards and picking those rebounds for the outlet.
However, many don't believe Gombya is the threat that Mande Juruni-Warriors coach-considers him to be because he has not come up against reasonable opposition yet considering that Warriors have only played a depleted Miracle, newly promoted Rez Life and Ndejje Angels, those are games you would expect him to have a field day.
