Kigali Basketball Club boosted their chances of lifting a maiden league title after a 99-78 victory over a fighting UGB side over the weekend.

The win moved the first-timers to 28points in 15games. This also means that defending champions APR, who are a point clear will kiss their hopes of lifting a third successive league title goodbye if KBC beat Ferwaba’s select in their final league match slated for September 25.

Ahead of this tie, KBC‘s head coach Pierre Gategabondo has heaped praise on his players for their determination and never say die attitude.

“The team has been phenomenon throughout the league and I hope they will maintain this run against Ferwaba select,” he said.

In the women category, APR cruised to their eighth win in a row after beating GSST Joseph 52-16.
