TANZANIA : Zone five inter cities, now Mogadishu confirms entry

Mogadishu yesterday announced that they will be going for their first ever Inter Cities championships that throws off in Arusha, Tanzania in under two weeks.

According to Inter Cities executive officer Agina Wesonga, Mogadishu, the Somali capital city will fly to Nairobi before taking on to the road to the Tanzanian city for their first tournament.

They join Harare, Johannesburg and Lusaka who will also be making their maiden appearance in a festival that has been played mainly between East African cities from Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

The championship that throws off on March 24-28 looks like it will have the largest number of participants ever in its 10 years history.

Apart from Nairobi , Mombasa and the host Arusha, others teams that are headed for the festival are Kampala , Jinja, Entebee ( Uganda ) Dar es Salaam , Mbeya, Mwanza and Tanga ( Tanzania ) and Zanzibar will be there.
