TANZANIA : Oilers and Savio dominate RBA Kili League

Oilers and Savio maintained their dominant performances in the Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball (RBA) Kili League to stay top of the Western Conference group.

Oilers who are questing for their first title, trounced new comers in the league, Hope Life, 63-60 in a match, which was played on Sunday.
The victory enabled them to lead the group with 11 points followed closely by Savio, who are second with ten points after winning their Sunday�s encounter 65-39 against PTW Stars.
A towering Jije Makani netted ten points for Savio with four offensive and ten defensive rebounds. He had also one block and committed four fouls. Makani, who also plays for the regional and national teams, was too good at scoring and dribbling. He was closely assisted by George Tarimo, who scored nine points.

Reigning champions, Vijana (City Bulls) who were not in action on Sunday, are third with eight points in the group followed by Hope Life, who jumped to fifth position from the fourth place after attaining seven points while Chui, who were initially on fourth place, slipped to fifth after Sunday�s results.
PTW Stars are sixth with four points while TM Rockets are trailing the group on three points. The Eastern Conference�s teams did not play on Sunday and JKT are still leading it with eight points followed by the Army Basketball Club (ABC) with seven points.
The Tanzania Prisons are third with seven points followed by the giants, Pazi with four points following a bad start. The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) Outsiders are fifth with four points as well while the Crows, also making their maiden appearance, are at the bottom without a point.

The weekly-played league has been organized by the Basketball Dar es Salaam (BD) and sponsored by the Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) through its Kilimanjaro beer.
