Special 23rd Africa Champions Cup for men: Pillars, Union Bank know opponents

The Nigeria two representatives to the final round of the 23rd FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Men, Kano Pillars basketball club and Union Bank basketball club will this Friday know their opponent.

According to a release from the Secretariat of the continental ruling body the twelve clubs will be divided into two groups of six teams each with host Etoile du Sahel basketball club of Tunisia heading group-A while defending champion, Primero de Agosto of Angola lead other teams in group-B.

The draw ceremony of the continent's most prestigious club competition is billed for 20.00 hours local time at Star's Sport Hotel, Sousse, Tunisia.

The draw ceremony will be conducted by Abdelraouf Menjour, FIBA Africa president of Competitions commission.

The 23rd Champions Cup for men will be played from 12th 21st December 2008 Sousse, Tunisia will see the twelve teams from eight Africa countries vying for honours.

The participating clubs includes host Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia), El- Shabab Arabi (Libya), Stade Nabeulien (Tunisia), Lupopo (RDC), Onantra (RDC), APR (Rwanda), Primero de Agosto (Angola), ASA (Angola), BACK (Guinea Conakry), Kano Pillars (Nigeria), Union Bank (Nigeria) and Swallows (Togo).
