MOGAS Falcons' previous performance against Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono Canons left coach Thomas 'Smatts' Olumbo convinced that the record champions are unstoppable and will bag this year's trophy.

Falcons, humiliated in Game One 74-49 of the best of three semi-final play-off series, returned to convincingly beat Canons 80-69 in Game Two last week.

The two teams clash in the decisive game tonight at Lugogo Indoor Stadium and the winner will earn a right to face Warriors in the best of five final series.

"There is no doubt these boys can win the championship. They have the experience, confidence and talent. So I don't see what will stop them," the Kenyan tactician intimated to Daily Monitor after the victory. The Malinga brothers Henry and Eric had a memorable outing last week, sharing 46 points and their form will be vital if Falcons are to make it past the regular season champions Canons.

The game, which had earlier been pushed to Friday, was brought forward again following the death of Fuba technical committee member James Abola.

"Most basketball players and officials will be traveling upcountry to attend the burial so we decided to have the game tomorrow (today)," explained Fuba assistant general secretary Joseph Manano.

Adding; "But since we couldn't inform Gulu Hawks to travel to Kampala on Friday, their game with Crane High will still take place on Friday." The series is tied at 1-all.
