SENEGAL 07 : Teams strategise ahead quarter-final duel

Friday is the D-day for the eight team that made it to the quarter-finals of the 20th Africa Nations Championship for Women as they take their turn Thursday to plot one another fall in practice session.

Among the eight countries that made it to the knock-out stage only Cameroon did not have a feel of the Marius Ndiaye gymnasium, Dakar.
At noon local time Friday young Cote d’Ivoire team will file out against Angola with both sides eyeing a semi-finals ticket.

Cameroon and enterprising Mali will take their turn at 14.30 hours, while the battle between Nigeria and Mozambique hoist up at 17.00 hours.

Nigeria captain who missed most of the preliminary matches due to a kneel injury was seen practicing with her team-mates and declared that there is no cause for alarm.

“I am hundred percent ready for the match against Mozambique and I want to say the same of my team-mates, she told www.fiba-afrique.org.

The last quarter-finals pairing is between host Senegal and Mwadi Marie Mabika Democratic Republic of Congo with the last group-B win against Angola as motivation.
