THE Zimbabwe basketball senior teams both men and women will this morning leave for Zambia where they are scheduled to play two international friendly matches.

Ronald Garura, the association’s secretary general, who is also the men’s team coach, said they were expecting good competition from the Zambians.
“We are going to play two games on Saturday and Sunday and the matches will go a long way in preparing for the forthcoming international games. We have assembled a very strong squad, which I think would challenge any opposition.
“It has been a long time since the senior team played a competitive match and I think this is the right platform to showcase their talent,” he said.
Zimbabwe men’s team will be looking up to the talents of Highdon Raiderz duo of Royne Takaendesa and Duncan Shenje, who have been the reason why Raiderz are at the top of the log.
