TANZANIA : Basketball qualifiers meet today

THE four basketball clubs, which had qualified for Kili RBA league will battle it out today at the National Indoor Stadium in their first semi final matches.

In the first semi final Outsiders will take on Savio before JKT play against Oilers in another semi final.
Outsiders who booked the ticket in the semis after registering a slim victory over Chui beating them 54-53 in the tricky quarter final game held in the mid-week at the National Indoor Stadium will take on Savio.
Outsiders started the game at slow pace, which saw them behind their opponents (Chui) by 15-14 points at the end of the first quarter of the breathtaking quarterfinal with both teams taking extra efforts to emerge victorious.
In the following quarters Outsiders revived and managed to dominate the game using their experienced players Claudio Kisanko and Mwinuka who scored 12 and 10 points respectively.

Despite losing the chance to qualify Chui, which was promoted to the league, earlier this year displayed a superb game and overpowered Outsiders in the first and third quarters of the game.
JKT reached semis after beating Vijana 'The City Bulls’ 81-63 in their last game ‘to finish on top of the Western Conference.
Basketball Dar es Salaam (BD) Technical Development and Competition Director, Manasseh Zablon told the 'Daily News' yesterday that the day will also see Don Bosco’s Lady Lioness facing Tanzania Prisons at the same venue in a crucial match to decide the semi-finalist in the Kili RBA ladies’ league.
The winner of the match will join JKT Stars, Jeshi Stars and the defending champions Cargo ladies.
Both Kili RBA men’s and ladies league seasons are scheduled to wind up on December 17.
