KAMPALA City council Leopards will be out to prove that their undefeated MTN basketball league record this season is not a one-off when they tackle MUK-Sparks at the YMCA court today.

The Leopards who have registered 14 victories in 14 games, are hoping that a win today will help them in their bid for a first-ever league title.

Known for their strong defence, Leopards will look to Monica Siima and Miriam Hamala to help bolster their defensive intensity with Agatha Baliddawa falling into her rebounding role against Sparks’ Marion Nakaziba.

KCC will also look to the shooting of Becky Akullo, Linda Tamale and Annet Nakiwu, who find a lot of success getting to the basket. They will also be fighting to stop Sparks’ Olivia Mulwana, Maggie Nalubega and Vicky Nassolo from putting points on the Makerere team’s board.

Apart from the obvious revenge mission, MUK-Sparks, who have had a good chance to rest a bit, can only wish for a resounding win against KCC, complete with two bonus points if their playoff qualification hopes are to remain alive.

Charging Rhinos, who are fighting for a slot in the Yello Max conference top four, take on Livingstone in the last game of the day.
