THE Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) on Saturday postponed the MTN league tie between Gulu Hawks and Kampala International University.

This came after the Northern Uganda side failed to raise transport to travel to Kampala. "They called in time before the game and we had to respect their request and we shall fix it latter," Federation technical chairman Yunus Nkutu said.

Meanwhile, Marines rested their top stars and went on to demolish relegation candidates Najja High 106-40. Youthful Boniface Okello made a career high 39 points, while Paul Mwaka added 23 to keep the defending champions on course to the play offs. Danson Ngati and Lewis Dingo made 19 and 12 points for Najja who remained winless in all 12 games played.

In the women's division, Kampala City Council Leopards took their un beaten record record to 12 games after a 82-27 win over Crane High to remain top of the table.

New signing Linda Tamale notched 22 points for KCC while Hellen Nakijjo and Diana Nakimuli made 11 and 7 for the high school girls.
