NIGERIA : Ahead V/Mobile Final - Peaks, Potters Storm Lagos

Savannah Conference qualifiers, Niger Potters basketball club of Minna and Plateau Peaks basketball club of Jos have arrived Lagos for the national final of the V/Mobile Premier League billed to dunk-off tomorrow at the Indoor Sports Hall, National Stadium, Lagos.

Both teams picked the qualification tickets against all oppositions at the Savannah Conference play-off which ended last weekend in Kaduna.

Already, players of both teams are breathing fire and brimstone in reparation for the final while the teams round up its training session today with determination to win a continent ticket to represent the country in club championship.Niger Potters forward, Joseph Abubakar, who emerged the most valuable layer in their second game against Plateau Peaks, expressed optimism that the trophy will return with them to Minna at the end of hostilities in Lagos.

"Potters remains the team to beat his season, we have experienced layers and the ability to win the trophy. We are determined that nothing short of victory will elude us in Lagos," he said.

Plateau Peaks point guard, Job Nelson said his expectation is to add he league trophy to his collection.
