Nabisunsa vs Amazon

A cheering home crowd is expected to tip the scales this evening when home girls Nabisunsa take on Amazon Rhino in a mid-week MTN League fixture.

Fresh from a sensational 42-35 win over rivals Crane High on Sunday, the school girls play their first home league game after a devastating 51-66 loss to record champions Lady Bucks last Wednesday.

A 48-47 first round win over Amazon will be a psychological inspiration for Emmy Ssamanya's young side. However, Amazon's Angela Lokidi believes the first round loss was due to bad luck.

"We had a full board training yesterday (Monday) and we are aiming at avenging the bad loss we suffered at the hands of A-I on Sunday," Lokidi said.

Amazon, which currently occupies seventh position will rely on Lydia Mulwana, Hadijah Shaban and Lokidi for the points.
Nabisunsa's Mariam Tamale has made a tremendous improvement in ball passing and steady dribbling and her combination with Angela Namirimu, Joyce Zalwango, Halima Nabusimba and Charlene Kalungi will give the visitors some hard moments on court.

Meanwhile, Kampala region schools champions Crane High School retained their Kabaka Schools title after a 26-19 final win over St. Mary's Kitende on Sunday at Lubiri High courts. Tournament MVP Joshua Karugaba was instrumental with his accurate passing.
